Your Questions, Answered
What makes Levo different?
Most bags force you to choose: sleek but heavy, or light but outdoorsy. Levo is the first to merge both — featherlight, professional, stealthy, with premium materials usually reserved for $500+ bags. It disappears on your back, so you can stay locked in on the road ahead.
Who is Levo actually designed for?
Levo was built for travelers who want to move light, fast, and focused. It’s carry-on compliant, refined enough for business trips, and durable enough for years of international travel. If you care about clarity and flow, it’s yours.
Is it carry on compliant?
Levo comes in two streamlined options:
- 30L: Perfect for minimalist weekends or short trips.
- 36L: Extra space for week-long excursions while staying carry-on legal.
Both will be carry on compliant for most airlines.
What if I change my mind?
No stress. U.S. customers get free 30-day returns from the moment they recieve their package. On top of that, Fyro has one of the lowest return rates in the industry and thousands of happy customers who never looked back.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Every Fyro bag is backed by our Lifetime Warranty. If a seam fails or a zipper breaks, we fix it or replace it. Period. Combine that with obsessive design testing, and you’ve got peace of mind built in.

I went on a week-long trip by myself for the first time recently, and this bag is likely the MVP of my spring break. The bag is so lightweight for its size and so comfy that it wasn't super noticeable while walking across large airports, even when it was packed to the brim with... a bit more clothing than I probably needed for a week. The triple combo of the sternum strap, (optional) hip belt, and load lifters certainly helped.
The build quality, itself, is top notch. All the straps feel like they're never coming out with all that stitching, and all the padding makes grabbing the bag and lugging it around nice and satisfying. The Kodra nylon is such a unique fabric- it really does feel like a less padded Peak Design sort of fabric, which to me screams something that'll last the test of time. It feels durable, yet malleable to easily accommodate whatever weird stuff you're traveling with, like a mirrorless camera in the front pocket. The interior lining is also... beautiful. I was initially hesitant of what I thought would be a brighter orange lining, but the more subdued copper in actuality looks very premium and distinctive with the honeycomb pattern (once again feels very durable).
Speaking of the front pocket, very well done with how much volume it has going all the way down to the bottom, even when the rest of the bag is packed out. Perfect jacket spot, and like I said, somehow managed to get a camera in there as well after packing out the rest of the bag. One minor gripe- the stretch mesh pocket in the front pocket is a little floppier than I'd like (though it doesn't matter too much when the bag is full anyway).
Main compartment... not much to say. It's just a really good place to put most of your travel stuff. Perfect for packing cubes. Just enough extra pockets to fit extra bits and bobs. Laptop compartment is top tier; I wasn't worried at all about my laptop during my flights. Tech dump pocket's very nice and spacious. It's a good way of utilizing that space at the top of the bag. Passport pocket is also generously large though I only put my itinerary in there for my trip.
That being said, I say 1.5 bag travel king because this is really meant to be used with the Citta sling. If I was only interested in strictly 1 bag travel, I can see the lack of typical quick access as a drawback. But with a sling in front (and especially the Citta), it feels like a near perfect system, where all your quick access is on the front anyway. For items you don't immediately need, the Levo carries them with little effort on your part. I wouldn't mind an extra carry option on the side with the side handle, like another side pocket or maybe more lash points for a bit more flexibility... but that's it.
This is a great pack, super light. I would suggest switching the sides the water bottle sleeve and the side handle are on. Most people are right handed and if you grab the handle with your right hand, the straps face out and thefront of the pack faces inwards towards your side. If the sides were switched the straps would be next to your side. I know you can the direction you pick it up, but then the top of the pack faces behind you and things could fall out without you seeing it. Having the water bottle on the right also allows you to reach back and grab the bottle with your right hand without removing the pack. Just my two cents.
I took this on a flight from OH to CA, then on a week long cruise, and then on a flight back to OH.
I used every feature except the laptop sleeve, which feels incredibly robust and protective. I also love that the laptop sleeve doesn't feel like it's taking a lot space from the bag when traveling without a laptop, which was my big complaint with the Patagonia Black Hole Mini MLC.
Every other feature worked flawlessly. The back panel pocket was perfect for our passports. The front pocket was big enough for my jacket and mine and my wife's overhead noise cancelling headphones. Everything fit in the huge main compartment with ease. The harness system is incredibly comfortable, and I only started to feel fatigue after hours and hours of travel (which is pretty much unavoidable). The comfort was something I noticed every time I wore the bag, which is saying a lot. The top pocket in the tech area is great for sunglasses and as a dump pocket when going through airport security. The water bottle pocket works very well. The top and side handles are cushy and comfortable when the bag is fully packed. The loop on the back panel for hanging on a bathroom stall works well, though I wish it were a touch bigger to more easily get the loop over the hook.
Overall, this bag is a joy to use and travel with! If I'm being picky, I don't love the courseness of the exterior fabric. With that said, it feels very durable and high quality. I don't even have to think about new travel bags, because this one is about as perfect as it gets.
Well done, Aaron and the Fyro Team!
I have the 36L bag. Most aspects of the bag are class leading: materials, build quality, comfort, capacity, weight.
Things I would change:
- The main compartment zippers need opposing pull tabs, it is difficult to get them started when closing the bag.
- The magnetic sternum strap hardware is installed on the wrong sides, making one handed closure difficult. If the outside part of the clasp was on the long strap side, it would close easily. My Boundary Supply and ULA packs got this right.
Trip Overview and Context
The Fyro Levo 36L recently served as my primary transit companion during a two-week family holiday to Australia.
For most of the trip, I carried electronics, a couple changes of clothes, toiletries, and critical documents in the backpack. For the return flight, I exchanged the clothes and toiletries for two pairs of shoes and a few souvenirs that I had bought.
Throughout the trip, the Levo proved to be a versatile carry-on across several major carriers. The sizing worked perfectly for airline travel on the trip. The bag worked without issue on Singapore Airlines, Virgin Australia, and Qantas. Both Jetstar and Royal Brunei Airlines requested to weigh the backpack. Despite these checks, all flights permitted the bag without issue.
Apart from the Australia trip, I have used the backpack for multiple road trips as my primary piece of luggage.
Thoughts:
This bag is very comfortable and has a sleek appearance, particularly in the iron colorway, which I found more appealing than the sage option available during the pre-order. The internal copper lining is beautiful and pairs really well with the exterior color.
The self-standing nature of the bag and the vertical alignment of the main pockets made access to items easy while at the airport. The external water bottle pocket's stretchy mesh performs reasonably well, even when the bag is full—there was only one time when an empty 1L plastic store-bought water bottle was pushed out of the pocket by the elasticity of the mesh. I think a slightly taller mesh or clip would have prevented it from falling out, but I’m still happy with the mesh since it doesn’t happen with bottles with more weight.
The two zip pockets in the main compartment and the hidden side-access pocket are nicely executed, but I haven't used them until now. I used packing cubes to fill the main compartment, and I kept critical items in my personal item bag.
At $275 the backpack is slightly on the expensive side, but I feel that the cost is worth it for the thoughtfulness put in the design, the high-quality construction, and the lifetime guarantee. I also understand that a small maker doesn’t have the economies of scale of a bigger one.
Key Advantages
The Levo excels in ergonomics and clever engineering:
Unmatched Comfort: This is the most comfortable backpack I have ever used. The "lush" padding, ergonomic straps, and load lifters are expertly designed. Even when packed to the 7-8 kg carry-on limit, the carry remained effortless.
Lightweight yet Structured: While not the lightest on the market, it is remarkably light for the level of padding provided. Impressively, it maintains a self-standing structure like a much heavier bag.
Thoughtful Organization: The front pocket layout is a highlight, offering a perfectly calculated amount of space and internal pocketing for essential items. I think this pocket is among the best that I have seen, more useful than the front pockets on the Aer Travel Pack and the Almond Oak.
A+ Laptop Protection: The laptop protection in the Levo is up there with the best bags in this weight class and much better than most.
Areas for Improvement
Despite its strengths, there are a few design refinements that would elevate the bag:
External Storage: The bag is missing a second external stretch pocket. I would prefer the dual-pocket utility of the Aer Travel Pack 4 even if it meant a less comfortable side handle to allow for simultaneous storage of a water bottle and an umbrella.
Quick Access Compartment: The zippered internal tech compartment pocket is voluminous but sits vertically. An externally accessible horizontal quick-access pocket at the top, similar to the Tomtoc T66 Liteway and Aer Travel Pack 4 would more efficiently use the space at the top of the bag.
Security Loops: The addition of security loops on the zippers, as seen on the Citta sling, would provide extra peace of mind and create a more cohesive brand identity.
Conclusion
The Fyro Levo 36L is currently my favorite travel backpack and would be a top recommendation for someone who wants a well-designed travel backpack and can afford the asking price.
