Fyro Citta Backpack (Pre-Order)

I wouldn't say it's a Perfect EDC or endgame bag, but it's very close. Will go into my rotation of other backpacks I own. There's a lot to like about the backpack but will just go through the negatives/what didn't work out for me that didn't make it my ONLY EDC.

The biggest disappointment for me is the side double access. The outer side access should have been a water bottle pocket in my opinion or at least have it expanded out more. The space is very tight volume wise (probably due with ridged xpack material??) makes for little functionality aside from very flat items and keys. A lot of vertical hand space for large hands to slip in though

Love the cushion back panel. It's like laying on a soft mattress. But like a soft mattress you try at a furniture store, once you wear it/have it lay on your back for an extended period of time (especially when loaded out) your shoulder will start feeling stiff

Luggage passthrough is very tight. May need to play around with it to get in luggage handles when the bag is packed out

Water bottle pocket is also a bit tight (probably because I haven't broke it on yet, or I'm used to evergoods water bottle pockets) . The attachment hook is a very nice addition

Sunglasses pocket is very roomy and has nice velvet like material. I wouldn't put a loose pair of glasses in it. It's scratch resistant but not crush resistant depending on how packed out your bag is

Hidden pen slots in back panel is nice, but only fit generic ballpoint pens with no finger grips

Hidden air tag/Bluetooth tracker is not exactly hidden. May need to be bigger to accommodate other new trackers like the Pixel Tag

I like how it self stands, but it makes for the bag being very boxy especially when filled

Zippers are buttery smooth, but front two zippers are way too close together. Sometimes I grab the wrong zipper. May be better if they had different zipper handles or zipper of different color. I exchanged/modded mine, but still had issues opening the correct pocket when blind unzipping (especially when I'm a rush)

Other features that I would like in a perfect EDC:

Side grab handle (s). Maybe on that hold down flat with magnets

Interior side glasses pocket like in Bellroy venture backpack

Interior cup pockets in main interior like aer go pack 2 instead of zipper pocket

Built in hook like the baglev look system in peak design city backpack

Need magnets. Maybe in side grab handle, one side of double sided water bottle pocket

Seems like I listed out a lot of negatives (most of them nitpicks), but it's a very capable bag. Just wish it was actually a endgame bag so I can stop searching.

Best feature (wish it doesn't change next version) is the large front pocket space. Don't like how Aer does it with horizontal half zip as it doesn't accommodate larger/non thin items

Shout out to Aaron and the Fyro team. I fully support the Fyro brand and the Nomads Nation channel. I’m an international traveler. I’m 6’ 5” and 235 lbs. I’ve added a few photos below of the Citta 25L next to my Levo 36L.

Citta Pros:
It’s well made, feels sturdy, good stitching.
XPAC material is very weather resistant.
Outstanding self-standing.
Admin pocket includes zippers.

Citta Cons:
No side handle.
Too many pockets.
Too boxy and firm (not very malleable).
Can be a challenge to zip close when packed out.

My every day load out:
16” laptop
Small earbuds w/case
Over the ear headphones
Trainers for gym
Drawstring bag with gym shorts/shirt
Charging cables
Small bottle of Excedrine
Pen/pencil
Generally 2-3x 16oz bottles of water

Personally I absolutely love the Levo, but I’m not a huge fan of the Citta backpack. I bought the Levo for one-bag travel to be used as my carry-on and then began using it as my EDC too. The Levo is super comfortable on my frame. I’m very tall and thin. I bought the Citta thinking it would be the perfect personal item to accompany my Levo as a carry-on when traveling internationally. Here is the thing about the Citta, I do not find it nearly as comfortable to wear and it might be due to my height. No matter how much I have tried re-adjusting the shoulder straps, they always seem to move apart away from one-another. Luckily, the Citta includes a magnetic sternum strap to prevent this from happening, but this means I’m required to use the sternum strap at all times. I’d prefer it be an option during heavier carries, not a requirement just to wear the bag.. Without the sternum strap used, the Citta slowly slides off of my shoulders as I walk and I’m constantly having to re-adjust the straps to keep the bag on. It also does not feel as comfortable as the Levo. When using the Citta as my EDC with a minimal amount of gear, to me it feels like a super heavy brick or block. It’s very boxy, it does not have a lot of malleability which I prefer in any bag I use. The Citta is stiff in a boxy shape even when empty and for some reason, it feels heavier when loaded. The fabric on the Citta feels a lot more restrictive, theres little stretch to it. It self-stands exceptionally well, but thats never been a huge need of mine. I need something I can easily shove into a locker or under a seat in front of me on an airplane. I bought the Citta thinking it was a smaller version of the Levo, but with a lot of upgrades that critics may have lead Aaron into believing were missing or needed. It’s impossible making a bag that pleases everyone. The Citta has too many pockets in my opinion. Two side quick access pockets is one too many. Additionally, the top quick access pocket is a nice change, but then the additional top pocket inside the laptop compartment is not needed. Just one or the other of those top quick access pockets is enough. The added inside tablet sleeve is cool, but would be better if it was inside the laptop compartment and maybe just had a second slot by using a divider to separate it from the laptop pocket so when you open that area you have an option to slide in your laptop in the the laptop pocket and/or a tablet literally right next to it. I know you can un-velcro to kind of do this anyways, but it would be better if it was intentionally sewn in this way and would solve the un-needed velcro issue even being there at all. Less pockets means less material and less zippers which mean a lower cost for production and a lower over all bag weight. These are just my personal opinions. I wish I would have just went with a 30L Levo to pair with my 36L Levo. The Levo’s comfort for tall people like myself is unmatched and I’m a fan of the more malleable materials. I’ll be backpacking through SE Asia again for approximately the next 2 years and will be using the (1.5) Levo/sling combo for most of it. I need to hunt for another 2nd bag to use or Idk maybe I’ll buy another Levo in the new fabrics and colors Aaron has been teasing us all with (the yellowish-brown). Keep up the good work Aaron and thank you brother!

We Are just travelling Japan and my wife is using the Citta25. She loves the light weight! But the high number of Ockers keeps he searching for things 😅. Especially the Zips of the Main- and Front compartment Are getting Mixed up

Let's get straight to it. 6' male, working in tech. I drive to work, but need a no-fuss bag to carry my gear and snacks. It used to be a Peak Design V1 Everyday Messenger, but I got annoyed when it kept tipping over on my desk with nothing in it and was super heavy on my shoulder over long periods of time. I avoided backpacks at the office since they have a "school" vibe to them. I've since converted, since it was VERY hard to find the right messenger that met my needs. The 25L Citta marked several checkboxes for me, and I thought I'd pull the trigger on what I consider an "almost" perfect bag.

**Pros**

* The interior meets all my organizational needs.
* Relatively lightweight and comfortable to wear over long periods of time, thanks to the straps.
* Love the interior colour compared to the standard grey across the industry.
* Spacious top pocket. I usually throw my sunglasses, work badge, and AirPods in there.
* I transported a faux desk plant in the main compartment with ease.

**Cons**

* I personally do not find the back panel storage pocket useful. If I ever travel with my passport, I usually place it in the sling on my chest. I would much rather have a second water bottle holder to even the bag out. And because I sometimes use the bag when traveling with my 2 kids, I usually have a pocket dedicated to each of their bottles.
* Depending on how I pack out the bag, the self-standing aspect doesn't always work. Aaron did mention in one of his videos to just give the bag an old "shake," but it really depends on what's in it.
* I purchased orange aftermarket zipper pulls to help me distinguish the larger compartments from the quick-access pockets. When I'm in a hurry and the zippers are right next to each other, I often find myself opening the main compartment instead of the front pocket, or vice versa.
* Nitpicking, but I would love to see an attachment point on the front of the bag so I can attach a keychain to it. The Fyro tag at the bottom is a little too low, where a keychain would drag on the floor. The personalized flair helps me quickly identify my bag from a sea of other black backpacks.

Awesome job, Aaron + team! Would love to see what you do with a V2 in the future.

The best backpack I’ve ever owned! It sits so comfortably and securely against my back, almost like it disappears when I’m wearing it.
The 25L version has plenty of room for both my Lenovo Legion and ASUS ROG Strix G16.

The build quality is excellent, and the design is clean, stylish, and very well thought out.

Absolutely love this backpack. Highly recommended! 🔥
